Fl Mopar Car Show in Ocala GTG

This will be for all that would like to attend the Mopar Car show at the Don Garlits Museum in Ocala on Nov 3+4. The details are in the links below. There will be all types of classic Mopars as well as Ramblers and Javelin/AMX's. I've been to this museum a couple of times and they have some fantastic cars on display. The show starts at 8am on Saturday so hotel arrangements will have to be made soon.
I'll take care of registering our group. There is a fee and it's based on the amount of space that you want to rent for the show. The fee is not very much, but the more that attend the cheaper it will be for all for us. Yes, this is so that our Crossfires will be on display and part of the car show. Don Garlits will be at the show and trophies will also be awarded for different classes.
Anyone needing directions let me know and I'll send you some.

Book hotels early because it's Homecoming for UF and Ocala hotels will be getting booked too. I won't be able to attend this one due to said event in the first sentence.

Hey guys - bet you wonder what happened to me, eh? I am alive and hanging in there. After getting a few emails asking what's going on with me, I felt it was time to spill the beans...

Long and short, I lost all the passion for my car after it got keyed - I have found myself turning in to the owner that does not care when the car gets dirty (I know the thought of dirt sitting on a car makes many of you shudder and I heard it!) Its so hard to believe that I'm the same person that was passionate about the car not so long ago... Its so sad that someone jealous of what I had was able to turn me in to someone that lost the passion that this car held for me. Its hard to explain why it happened but I can only say it did...

I hope you guys have a blast getting together because they were fun - the race track was the absolute best and those are memories I will always cherish.

Do you still have your baby? Maybe she just needs to hook up with the right group and recreate that passion that has just been hiding. We know you have been having a challenging year. This may just be the ticket to pull you up. Your positively is missed on the forum. FP just can't fill your shoes, but he does try hard.

You can't let somebody's ignorance ruin your love for your car, I understand how you feel because my car is in the body shop right now and this is the fifth time. Everything from a kid threw a rock at my door, someone shot a BB gun and hit my toneau cover, someone hit my bumper while my car was parked, "Someone Keyed My Car" and the last thing was hit by a tire tread off an 18 wheeler on my way to the Woodward Dream Cruise in Michigan but I still love my car and refuse to let other peoples ignorance ruin that. Start washing your car and put a good coat of wax on it and join us on the forum every evening and that love will come back 10 fold. Those memories to cherish are still out there. Welcome Back???

I've got a call in with the guy from the Florida Mopar Assoc. about getting us registered and what our costs are going to be. I'll try him again tomorrow and as soon as I hear anything I'll post. I'll find out how many cars usually fit in the space the offer to see if one or two spaces will be needed.

I have changed jobs in the last month and it has been full time job getting into new company swing. Shawn and I are making tentative plans on being there will be able to make more positive plans in a week or so, Sharon, sure wish you would come also, I still haven't seen a Yellow XFire and from what I have heard, you fit in with this bunch well and it is fun being slightly off-center.

JAmacher I sure wish you and your wife could have made it to the Woodward Dream Cruise I would have liked to see you all again. It was well worth the drive and I won't be able to make this GTG but I'm trying for the one in Nov. Hope to see you all there.

Looking forward to seeing everyone again. OldMan I see you have a XFire picture in your sign-on, looking good, I now also have Dodge Ram with a Hemi, so I am getting more converted everyday. Kind of a match?? Both are fun.

I talked with the guy that is over seeing the part of the car show that we would be included with and he told me that it will be a $25 fee per car to enter the show. He expected between 150-200 cars and a bunch of vendors. He told me that it will be like an over grown flee market for car parts from all the vendors. It's also suppose to be one of the biggest vendor shows around. You need to print this form off and send it with your $25 to Florida Mopar Association, attention Wayne Borza at the Eagle Lake address given on the flyer. You have till the end of the Sept and then it goes up to $30.

I would like to know what class I should put on the registration form and do I check the car corral block. Will all the Crossfires be put together in one big location.

Yes we will all be put together in one location. You don't need to check any box for class type. I believe the car corral is for the vendors. Not for us to worry about.By the time the car show is here, we'll have a good number for who's going, so we will be able to plan on the space that is needed. I'll contact Wayne just before the show and give him a solid number so that enough room will be saved for our Crossfires.

I am paid up for the show. Got my reply card back from the Mopar Association a few days ago.
Is there a good place to meet so all the crossfires can enter at the same time.
