I would like to invite any and everybody in the area or willing to make the drive to North Alabama, to my annual Family & Friends Independence day festivities. It isn't a Crossfire get together, but it IS a good time!

This 6th annual event includes a Live band, plenty of indoor and outdoor activities (bouncy house for the kids, Pool table, poker table, air hockey table, VIPER themed Pinball machine, volleyball, Horseshoes, etc) and some home cooked BBQ + all the fixins & home made Ice Cream!

The event is Saturday June 30th. It is really two events in one, starting off around 2:30 ~ 3:00 with my sons Birthday party. (Turns 4 this year).

The band will kick off the second event around 5PM, and those without children (or only older children) often wait until this time to show up.

We do it this way to provide plenty of flexibility to meet everyones needs / wants.

We didnt want those without children to feel obligated to attend my young son's birthday party and of course, some may already have other evening plans or may not feel like being out all day and night so it gives them an easy out as the Birthday party portion wraps up if they wish to take it.

BUT with that said, many show up at 2:30 and dont leave until the end so everyone is welcome to show up ANY TIME YOU WISH, the event usually goes well into the night with LOTS of fireworks (feel free to bring more to add to the pile, the more we get the longer we shoot!)

(Oh and I mean ANY TIME, just be forewarned, if you show up before 2:30PM you will likely be given a to-do list of things to clean or set-up!)

For any who are worried about traveling back home after the event, we have worked out a special rate of $74/night at the www.jamesoninn.com in Arab (About a 10 - 15 minute drive).

Available to book at any time just ask for the "Henderson Party Rate".

Other hotels (larger chains such as Marriott or Hilton) are about a 20 minute drive North as well though no special rates.

Also working out taxi or other transport for those in need.

 

This sounds like a blast. Being in Hunstville and have a 7 year old son, we may head that way. I will chat with the wife but expect the boys to be there. Cheers

Oh, and just a reminder for all, you dont have to bring ANYTHING, we have it all covered 100%, we do sometimes run low on comfortable chairs so if you have a chair available, that isnt a bad idea and of course we always welcome additions to the fireworks stack to make the show last longer, but even those are just for those that feel they HAVE to bring something, we got it covered, just show up hungry, thirsty and ready to have a good time.

Good news = Party is not likely to be rained out... Bad news, IT'S GOING TO BE HOT!!! Don't let that stop you from joining us though, We plan to have one or more tents for shade + some fans & plenty of water (among other refreshments .... )
