Default Anyone near Titusville?

I'm coming down from gray and miserable Cleveland for three weeks (2/6-2/25) of work in Cape Canaveral. I'll be staying in Titusville and was wondering if anyone can recommend some restaurants. If interested, get together for dinner some night?

Thanks!

Everytime we're down there, we stop in at Dixie Crossroads for their Rock Shrimp.
The locals say it's a tourist trap, and there are much better places. But we've always enjoyed it.

We tend to hang out on the beach for great food. Definitely try The Fat Snook (2464 S Atlantic Ave, Cocoa Beach, FL) for some of the best seafood in the world. We also like the Pig & Whistle English Pub (240 N Orlando Ave, Cocoa Beach, FL 32931). Best fried fish (Fish & Chips) on the beach and the shepherds pie is fabulous. Several great places at Port Canaveral all within spitting distance from each other (Rusty's, Grills, Fishlips, Milliken's Reef, Baja, Seafood Atlantic Inc., Smokehouse Foods Inc.).

Great info thanks! Should be able to try out them all since I'll be there 3 weeks.

Looks like i'll be there during the Daytona 500. Thinking of running up there if I'm off work. Google Maps says 40 mins to the speedway in normal traffic. Any idea how much time to allot on a race day?

Just leave EARLY on race day and be prepared to slug along in traffic once you hit Daytona. Depending on where you will watch the race, it'll take some time to find parking if your going for the stands. And getting into the infield can be a PITA. If you're lucky enough to get right in, there's plenty of stuff going on before the race (Concerts, etc.) Plan for an all day event. Traffic after the race is just as bad.

Or you could skip the 'race' where one only has to turn left, and make the Sebring race in March. Real cars with drivers who have all their natual teeth.

One tree at the whole track and every year someone hit it.

I would have rather seen the Rolex 24hr but I'm down here for work, so I'm just trying to piggyback that trip. I will start shaping my mullet now.
