Default Replacement radios in European mode

Has anyone had problems getting replacement radios for the TSB changeout not tuning properly? I have put 2 radios in a Crossfire and both tune off frequency on the AM band. A station that has frequency of 570 reads 564 on dial, 710 is 711, 1000 is 999. STAR finally told me that the radio is in European mode and just order another one. It was rather embarassing when the 2nd radio did the same thing. I'm going to have my service manager chew some DC butt on Monday. Someone in the DC ladder is dropping the ball

After replacement radio #2 showed up in European mode a hot phone call to the radio vendor got answers. Becker shipped a batch of replacement radios to the USA in European mode. They gave us a button pushing proceedure that allows the country mode to be reset. Radio tunes fine now.

Very interesting!!!!

I have not run into anything of the like in the US, but I would be interested in knowing what you had to do to change the country code on the radios....

PM me if you would! thanks again!
