The highlight colors are NOT the wire colors. They are only there to highlight where the pin is from the factory and where its to go to disable the TPMS. The ONLY wire being changed is the grey wire with the yellow stripe (20GY/YL).

To get at the TPMS/HomeLink connector, just remove the dome light and you can see the wires going into it. Remove the connector, use a pick or other fine tipped tool and depress the top of pin 2 so it will slide out. Push the pin back into the connector in the 6th position and reinstall the connector. Reinstall the dome light and you are finished.
How bout if you have a roadster?

No problemo getting the lens & bulb apps. removed , in order to disable my "tire sensor" dash light. But , on my '05 coupe, it has 4 wires & 1 empty slot. Now I am @ a standstill.... And , I see no type of "release" for any of the 4 wires....Any help ? I've noticed that other people responding , also have the 4 wire set-up . So,,, that means that the factory had 2 different set=ups for the C-Fires .

You are on the wrong connector same mistake I made. It is the small white 6 pin connector with foam wrapped around it.

GOT IT ALL APART , OK . bUT i AM NOW LOOKING AT THE "WHITE" HARNESS FOR THOSE 5 WIRES & I SEE THE GRAY ONE. BUT,ALL OF THE WIRES APPEAR TO BE SORT OF JOINED TOGETHER WITH NO APPARENT SEPARATION . SO HOW DO YOU RELEASE THE "WHITE" HARNESS & DO THE WIRES SEPARATE ?

Would like some advice on this issue...As far as moving the gray wire over to the #6 open slot , it appears that all 5 wires are joined as one in the white connector . In others words , I see no way to "individualize" any one of them.....

You have the wrong connector. Pull the wires out a little further and you will find the connector that makes these instructions make sense. This had me stumped for a while also.

Light has been on since I put new tires on my '05 coupe 2 years ago . Tried everything to get light off to no avail . Went to dealership & got lucky . They reprogramed the TPS & did not charge me anything...

I spent $80 on a new sensor from the dealer to replace one the tire changer broke the top edge. They told me to air it up and it will reset with the new calibration once it goes 20 MPH, So wrong. Now I read that the dealer has to program the new sensor. Such BS, I hate making all the arrangements to leave the car at the dealer so I have been driving with the light on for months now. Anyone know a less painful way ?

I guess you just stuck this post on the end of this thread without reading the start of it.

Thanks so much. I just did this tonight and will no longer have to stare at that insipid yellow light. I can confirm that this works fine on an SRT6 Roadster.

THANKS for everyone who made a positive contribution to this thread . . .

I disabled two TPMS system(s) today (one coupe and one roadster). Very easy when you have these excellent instructions to follow. Took less than 15 minutes per car. No more light on the dash and no more money wasted on buying & installing TPMS units and then trying to get the stealership to program them . . .

I have read all the instructions to disconnect the TPMS and if I understand right it can be disconnected through the dome light. I have a 2005 Roadster, how do I disconnect this without a dome light. Thank you. Lingail42

I do have a light but it is above the rearview mirror since I have a convertible. Are the instructions still the same for either place (assuming the sedans dome light is in the center of the roof, or are they in the same place as the convertible?). Thanks Lingail42
