Default Need a new fuel pump? Please help.

Hi folks.
I will be going up to my mothers tomorrow to work on her Crossfire.
She said today it was acting like it was running out of gas at stops. Driving on the open road is no problem but when she comes to a stop she has to put it in N or P and hit the gas to keep the Idle up so it wont conk out, and when she takes off again it takes a sec before it kicks in. No dash lights come on and the Check Engine doesn't come on.
I'm thinking it's the fuel pump, So I'm going to replace that and the filters.

I just wanted to check tho before I drop that king of money. I can't tell you how much this forum has helped over the years with the no start issue and solder to the ignition switch and that plastic tab.
So I thought I'd ask and see if I could get lucky with a simple fix first.
I read up on the Crank Piston Sensor, but from what I read it seems to just shut the car off outright.

So do you think it the Fuel pump going out? Also I haven't checked but it there an access panel for the top of the tank?

The fuel pump is located outside the tank near the inboard right rear wheel. The filter is next to it. You need to check the fuel pressure before you change anything. It sounds more like a vacuum leak than a filter or pump, but who knows. I would change the CPS for good measure. It will need one sooner or later.

Loaner tool program from a parts store.. fuel pressure gauge.. should have 54PSI at idle..

Fuel pump and filter location.. just "behind" the control arm in this picture.. you will have a plastic cover to remove there.

Question Re: Need a new fuel pump? Please help,

Spark plugs ever replaced? Maybe cause misfire/stumble @ idle speed (dual plugs)? Maybe put out an error code? Just a thought. Original fuel filter & crank pos. sensor probably should be changed. My vacuum leak did throw a lean condition code. Please update when you can. I'm no Tech, just my .02.
