ok i got my k&n filter and on the instruction note it shows two lines and the filter housing must go past the first line and come close to the second line, i cant seem to find any way to slip it on further, anyone run into this ? any ideas? thanks alot!
yes o rings are all lubed up and twisted and pushed till the filter statred flexing dont want to ruin the $20 filter, someone has got to know the trick. anyone? i looked and the original and the new k&n are the same height and diameter.
Remove the filter, put a little oil on the inside lip of the filter. Also flip the over and try installing from the other side.
If you there is enough tension to bend the filter try pushing down without twisting.
Pull the filter out and check and see if you left a rag or old filter o-ring inside housing. Then compare the new filter with the old one side by side.
