NOTICE: Loaner RCM now available!
NOTICE: Loaner RCM now available!
Well folks I am happy to announce that we now have a Loaner Relay Control Module (L-RCM) thanks to one of the Texas crew,
Having the L-RCM will allow forum members to get their cars back on the road quicker as now I can send them a repaired RCM at the same time they send me their bad RCM. Saving 2-3 days of shipping time. So instead of waiting about a week yer back on the road in just a few days.
Here how it will work (I'll post this in the first thread for easy reference):
Once you have narrowed down your problem to the RCM (No crank, all electronics work) notify me that you are ready to send your RCM to me. We will swap contact information and both ship the RCMs out. You receive the repaired RCM (with the "Me So Horny Mod") and I receive your bad RCM.
I will test/repair and test the "bad" RCM and it will become the next L-RCM waiting to help the next member.
Still asking $30 for this service so I don't get stuck paying postage! Hey. I'm nice but not THAT nice! Just ask PizzaGuy!

Still asking at least $10 for this service so I don't get stuck paying postage! Hey. I'm nice but not THAT nice! Just ask PzziaGuy!

Would you ever ship one out to someone with such an ugly black car though??

I will note here however that a "new" member may be asked to send their RCM first before I send out the LRCM. Not a matter of trust, just want to make sure we don't lose our LRCM.
Re: NOTICE: Loaner RCM now available!
I have owned my SRT for three years I purchased it as a retirement present to myself after I was thrown to the wolves after 32 1/2 years of service and have had intermttant electrical codes and issues. I have just found out about the forum and club and my head hurts from all the kwowledge is provided. Lately my car cranks but won't start at 7am but will at 9am, in short another crappy soldering job. Is the loaner still available? If so please pm me info since I am unable to solder.

Welcome to the Forum (finally)!
If your car cranks and doesn't start it's not the RCM. Try this.

Hello,
My 2005 XFire (about 30K) check engine lite came on and the error code was the CPS. Replaced it with Bosch and worked wine for about two months. Now the car won't crank and I'm getting a CPS error again. Got another sensor and still no crank. Cleaned the connections still the same. Do you think it's the RCM?

Re: NOTICE: Loaner RCM now available!
DJ is the man! He was very quick to send me the replacement RCM and it worked out just fine. Took less than 2 minutes to install and reconnect and P0410 is gone as well as the air pump running fine!
Thanks again - I can only recommend people on the forum to do the same if they are having problems with the relay (i.e. mystery no start or Check Engine P0410).
