You'll need an air impact or electric impact wrench to loosen it. It is possible with hand tools but it's a Bear !

Also when you do get the nut loose before you pull your wheel off, put the nut back on and screw it on a few turns, you may have to wiggle the wheel some to get it loose, but when your pulling it off it wont hit you in the head.

good idea...sometimes the wheel is on a tapered shaft, and may need a puller to pop her loose....so now what are you tearing, or a modding..lol...

Thanks guys I have an impact gun but it looks like I'm going to have to get the right attachment.

Doc I'm just trying to align it, when I'm driving dead straight the wheel is a little to the right, I got 2 wheel alignments done plus I checked the tyre pressure so I'm going to try and change the position of the steering wheel.

He says an Allen wrench, it is not an Allen wrench.
There is a discussion somewhere about the difficulty of getting these screws out, it requires a T30 Torx according to Montana Crossfire.

I was unclear but I was referring to the air bag removal and you said to use an Allen wrench. Sorry.
Anyone removing the wheel and adjusting it on the splines should read the Repair Manual.
