Here ya go.. guess twice or three times in the same thread won't hurt.. LOL..

DISABLING THE SEATBELT WARNING CHIME!

From our friend Thomas Whyle... (Credit given)

The correct procedure for the Crossfire is as follows:

1)Turn key to ON/START - within 60 seconds, turn ignition OFF and fasten the driver seat belt.

2)Start engine and wait for the seat belt light to turn off.

3)Within 60 seconds unbuckle/re buckle the seat belt 3 times - ending with buckled, you will hear a single chime (sometimes this verification chime is slightly different just the same it works to disable the chime).

This confirms you have turned the repeater chimes off. Repeat the sequence or disconnect the battery to restore the reminder function."

Disconnecting the battery will reset the chime and you'll have to do it again!

You were directed on page 3 of the thread(see top right of your screen). The info you needed is located on page 1, first post.

Just did the seat belt chime silencer. Easy to do and effective.

Spent some time yesterday taking the drivers seat out to disconnect the chime but there are 4 wires to the seat belt connector so I gave up. I've only had my 2002 XF 2 months so it was a good time to clean the carpet under the seat. Of course after doing a search today I found this post. Worked the first time. No one mentioned that the seat belt icon on the dash stays on. I can live with the light but the chime was annoying when you are just moving the car in the driveway.

Just came back to say THANK YOU! IT WORKS. YAY! This was driving me crazy.

Never understood why a car's seat-belt alarm would chime when you are in Park. :/

"I've only had my 2002 XF 2 months" Amazing no one caught this since April. Of course it is a typo. My album does have the caption showing my XF as a 2004.

Drives me nuts too.

I hadn't found this sticky, but found one on google search for Chrysler 300 and worked the same. I didn't need to start the car to do this.

I just got in the car.
Buckled the seat belt.
Turn engine to ON without starting. (Waited long enough here to no longer hear initial chimes as I recall.)
Released and buckled 3 times.
Turned engine off, heard the confirmation chime, unbuckled and it was done.

These instructions are here. http://www.justanswer.com/chrysler/6...t-warning.html
