This video says it all, it takes a while to get used to but works really well.

Read this after it was posted in this forum many years ago. Still a great read and assistant on properly setting inside/outside rear view mirrors! Only addition I would add, is to slightly LOWER the two outside mirrors (if your like me, you hate being blinded by bright lights approaching). A simple head tilt will keep the light out of your eyes, but still allow the ability to see vehicles/traffic as needed.

If you adjusted your mirrors using this method you won't need to buy the unnecessary blind spot monitoring system on any car. My wife's Volvo has the blind spot system (bought it used) but I turn it off whenever I drive it. The blinking lights are annoying and distracting.

At least some of this techno-crappola is selectable to an 'OFF' position!
