Default How to make your own Carbon Fiber Hood

So you never got the Mad Med hood? No trouble, do it yourself. Mind you it is not for the faint of heart.
Very interesting to watch though.

Seen that one.
They make it look so easy.
I have made a couple molds before for some small fiberglass parts. But not a vacuum infusion cf, I been wanting to do.
There are so many on youtube, if I had time I would have have made some molds for various parts, like windshield trim, hood, fenders that are 1", front and rear bumper, console and dash trim.
Tried to convince wife if I made the molds, and I showed her how to do it if she would make a few parts, getting the molds perfect is the hardest part.
Making a split mold for the srt wing would be the hardest, but would be awesome when done.
I have the room in my shop to do it and store the molds.
I think that is why she keeps adding to that honey do list, to keep me busy on other things, hahaha
