Default Changing central locking pump?, other parts may need?

As you know I have bought an xf with a few teething problems that I'm steadily sorting out, sorted the leak & error lights....I think my central locking pump is on its way out & I'm considering buying a pump as a spare in case it goes, when I drive off after entering vehicle the central locking locks...take it this isn't standard?....spoke to the xf breakers who have 1 which I may purchase, just wondering how big a job it is?...& if anyone has a tutorial/guide on replacing the said central locking pump unit (I can't even get to the unit beneath foam, do I remove the trim?).
Also is it worth buying anymore parts(any common faults to prepare for?) whilst I'm buying the pump?....slowly but surely getting there with everything & the pump may never go but just being cautious really.
So far not spent a great deal fixing things & enjoy driving the car so very happy, just want to get it to a point where in my mind I'm as near as 100% happy with it then I can stop being a nauseating *** on here & in life & just well......drive

The doors lock after you reach a certain speed, this is quite normal.
To get the foam blocks out the trim that rests on the foam has to be removed.

The central locking locks after a few seconds this is a safety feature

Never noticed the locking feature until now lol ....think I may be getting a bit more paranoid & cynical since I've hit my 30's lol.......I've now got my xf to a point where I'm really enjoying it and fretting less, it's at a point now where to be honest it's spot on....drives great, looks great inside and out.
Maybe I should just drive and enjoy it now and stop worrying so much huh
Focused more on bad points when there are many many good points to counter balance those...it's had a brand new alternator fitted, new tyres and it has an upgraded stereo from the stock one...which has bluetooth connection, ipod and usb inputs.
Got the mechanic/friend of my dad to give it a once over and he said I had a bargain, and much preferred it to its SLK cousin.

On my Limited (6-speed) the locks never engaged.

My SRT does lock the doors once rolling.

I thought the previous owner of my SRT added the feature somehow...

This feature can be disabled if you choose. Obviously the owner who had the NA car first did so.

From the owners manual.

'To activate this feature, turn the key to the ON/RUN
position and hold the upper portion of the switch for a
minimum of five seconds. To deactivate, turn the key to
the ON/RUN position and hold the lower portion of the
switch for a minimum of five seconds.'

Well I'm learning about these cars slowly but surely....What is the point of a wheel jack and fixing kit if there is no spare tyre?......does anyone actually change a tyre now?....my bank account covers me fully for rac...that includes tyre change.
