Hi all,

New member here in San Diego. I picked up my SSB 2004 Coupe Saturday.
If alzhimers or some other malady hasn't set in by October, I might be talked into a trip to Havasu.

 

Well, first of all, welcome to the forum and congrats on the fantastic buy. I have an 2004 SSB Coupe aswell. One of the first ones they build.

How many miles do you have on yours?

It would be absolutly fantastic if you would join us all in Havasu.

For everyone interested in attending: I am now aiming at meeting on the 16th October through the 17th October in Havasu.

Most people seem to be fairly "easy" on the schedule. So if for some reason this date shouldent work, we can always re-schedule to the week before (9th&10th October) or the week after (23&24th).

If I dont get any responses saying that the 16th and 17th wont work for the majority by next Tuesday, it will be the final date!

I will call up hotels when I get back to AZ next Tuesday and figure out good group rates and parking spots.

I have an early one also #0007. It has 50K miles on it, but looks like it was sitting on the showroom floor for the last 6yrs. I couldn't pass it up.

 

October sounds good for me!

 

If I still own mine by then I'm in to get down there. There is a nice stretch from Quartzsite to Parker that will allow for some spirited runs.

I called a couple of hotels in and around Havasu today. I havent heard back from all of them yet, but the best rate I was able to get is from the Western Inn.

Its a group rate of $109+tax............We need atleast 10 rooms booked. Is this realistic?!?!?

Is this reasonable for everyone or way to much? I think it includes a warm breakfast and some other stuff.

All other hotels I rang up so far are going at higher rates (around $150)....

 

I just confirmed two crossfires in the Los Angeles area is ready for the drive.

 

So, everything seems to be coming together. SRT Six and I am just figuring out the hotel details. As already said, the Hotel will probably be the Hampton Inn at Lake Havasu. The group rate most likely will be around $109+tax or less.

Crickey, I missed this message in the critical' planning stages' 16th is my Sons 9th Bday, sounds like not a big deal but I was traveling for my work during his Bday last year and he hasn't let me forget it yet

I will have to check with the boss at home and the little boss before I can committ to the GTG. I'd say I have about a 25% of making it happen. Dont put me on the master list yet German...

that sounds pretty fun im in the desert area in a town called ridgecrest CA i just registerd to this forum today i would say the closest city is lancaster or palmdale but id im down if its on a weekend
