Anyone else in So. Cal....
Re: Anyone else in So. Cal....
Yeah, I know about the alleged rain on Mon/Tues...but there's no way I was passing up a sunny weekend with a dirty car! Figured if I washed it yesterday I had a couple of extra days to enjoy it in addition to the weekend.
I can't believe the messes...this state was not built for that much rain ...then again neither was the Crossfire!

Yeah, it must be nice!!!
I had no choice but to drive it...and it was pretty scary driving it in some of the downpours. I almost got taken out a couple of times, luckily I expect it at all times and was ready for it. Although it was a bit harder to stop on a dime when the roads were so saturated .
Anyways, the second I was off of work yesterday around noon (I'm a part-timer) that top went down and it was one of the most heavenly drives home I'd had in weeks! I'm counting down until I can do it again today! The sun is out, the car is clean, the top is down, and we closed on our first house yesterday, life doesn't get much better!

Yeah the Crossfire is my only car so whatever the weather I drive it. Growing up in CT provided me with many years of winter and foul weather driving experience. The secret to staying alive while driving in rainy SoCal is quite simple, two steps:
1. slow down and leave plenty of room for people to cut you off, oops wait, I mean leave plenty of room to stop without running into the car in front of you.
2. move away from the ******** that don't abide by #1
========
Or I guess I could take a bus and use Dan's one rule:
1. Don't drive in inclement weather

I bought the crossfire for driving in the rain. It doesnt leak like my other cars LOL. I must admit that its just as scary driving the crossfire in the rain as my mini, both cars are so low to the ground the spray from the cars can be blinding. but the crossfire has air bags.

I know all about it....I was there! That wasn't the actual car though...just something they threw together for SEMA. They won't be racing a Roadster for obvious safety issues...so we'll see what turns up. Samuel Hubinette was not at D1 last weekend due to not having a car to race as of yet...
