Ok, any girls going??? I was in Temecula last weekend, and there was a Ferrari hookup. About 30 of them at the wineries...what a sight. BUT, I think we xf owners have a better looking car! Count me in!

 

Count me in, too. I think we will need to get an early start if we want to do the kind of things mentioned, i.e., wineries, casino, or any real stops. We will probably spend the night up that way. Just let me know where to be and when. I'm a newbie and would enjoy making the contacts with knowledgeable folks.

OK folks sorry for disappearing from the board. I am in the middle of changing jobs and have been really consumed with getting out of my previous position and moving to a new one next week. I am off this week and will get all the stuff finalized for the Hookup.

I will be sending all of the people that responded a PM asking for the following information. Please forgive me if I have already asked this of you before but I don't have the computer anymore that I used when 1st setting this up.

Where will you be coming from.
Where will you meet the hookup. (Malibu, Westlake, Ventura, Santa Barbara)
What year, model, color Crossfire do you have.
What is the name of your passenger.
What is your cell phone number.

This information will be compiled into a spreadsheet that I will then send to your personal eMail address. You should let me know if any of the information that you are going to provide should be left off of the copy that is going to be distributed.

Currently those that have confirmed have selected Malibu as the location to meet with the exception of Kyle. I suggest at this point we all meet in Malibu (Kyle, you and I can drive there together) unless those that have not gotten back to me yet want to meet at one of the other locations.

At this point I suggest that we meet in Malibu around 7:30 - 8:00. We can plan on the times for the other stops if I hear from anyone else.

Anyone interested in meeting in Westlake? If its an issue of cruising down the coast we can take Portrero Rd through Hidden Valley and then down past the old Camarillo State Hospital back to PCH at Pont Magu Naval Air Station.

I realize my ability to predict the weather is no better than anyone else's, I think Saturday, although a little colder than normal, will be a nice day.

Having said that, I guess my thought would be that we have this "hookup" even if it's raining. If we postpone it, it makes it that much harder to get people to commit [and attend] the next one. If there's a hookup every other weekend that's one thing, but it appears that it takes a bit of effort to organize [thanks SoCalXfire]. So I vote for going.

Since this would be our first hookup we were looking forward to meeting everyone. It's nice to put a face to a name.

So we vote for "Let's do it... ".

 

Game on as far as I am concerned. May have to drive a little with the top up but that is OK with me. As for meeting in Westlake I think I would just prefer to meet everyone in malibu.

 

I thought there were a few Xfires in Thousand Oaks/Westalke area. I don't mind driving to Malibu but I'm not sure we can be there by 8AM. Alisa has to feed the horse and the Xfire and the horse are not allowed within three miles of each other. [For anyone who as ever owned horses knows why this is...]

We could just let Calvin [the horse] go without breakfast, but believe me, you don't want a seven foot animal that weighs more than your car pissed off at you when you go to feed it the next time.

Anyway, we can work it out, I was just hoping to meet up with the train in Westlake to save time.

I've been busy so I have not actively tried to contact anyone, but we're planning on meeting somewhere near Pepperdine in Malibu around 8am. I'll probably start calling the cells on the list in the morning.
