Default SRT6 Suspension??

Is the SRT6 suspension different from the limited suspension? If I put the SRT6 suspension on my limited would it be any stiffer and would it lower the car at all? Thanks for any help you can give!!

The suspension of the SRT6 is stiffer than the limited/base and is tuned to the SRT groups specs.

I don't think it is any lower though. Unless you got the extra HP, I don't think its worth it. The damn roads/highways are not that great.

The srt has stiffer springs.
If you want stiffer springs and a lower stance get the eibach spring kit.
The srt also has slightly thicker sway bars.
Hope this helps.
Do a search on eibach springs and wheel spacers and you will find lots of info.

I switched my SRT to stock springs & shocks because I wanted a softer ride. It is plug and play exchange. Should lower the suspension slightly based on my experience. Am willing to sell my SRT springs and shocks with only 3,000 miles on them for about 50% of cost of new base model set. Price $350.

If I remember correctly, HDDP used the SRT6 sway bars on his car, and he noticed a difference.
I'm sure I'll be corrected if I'm wrong.

spensley,

Yes, HDDP did in fact put SRT6/AMG sway bars on his '04 (race prepped). He also did an SRT6 brake upgrade. Not sure about the springs and such (not off the top of my head anyways).

Cheers!

Springs are currently Eibach... The front sway bar is from the SRT... The rear bar is exactly the same between the two cars...

PS: How ya been Jody ? I have some interesting updates, but still working on them...

Here's a recommendation...

Install the front SRT6 sway bar...
Install these coilovers...

Or, if you want to stick with the separate spring / damper OEM set-up.
Install the front SRT6 sway bar...
Install these springs http://tunertools.com/proddetail.asp...2D5080&cat=116 and replace the perch pads with #1's
Install these dampers http://www.koni-na.com/konisport.html

TEDFITZ:

What do you think about the ride of your SRT6 after changing out your springs and shocks? Big improvement? Worth the money? Would you do it again?

Did you notice a considerable difference in body roll with the sway bar?

I don't know who this question is directed at... but if you're asking about the handling difference installing the SRT6 front bar on a limited, the change was very noticeable...
