Default Request Info on Eibach Pro Kit

I've read a lot of post about the Eibach Pro Kit, and that it lowers 1.25". And i have a few questions. How much do they cost for a 2004 coupe. Do I need any other mods to make it work? Will it rub anything with stock tires? What are the advantages and disadvantages of it?

Also will the kit for the SLK230K/SLK320 9/96-04 work? There's an $80 difference from MB to Crossfire.

Also, these are the cheapest i found, but it says "Note: Avg low 1.0"F 1.2"R
NOTE: Requires the rear bump - stops to be trimmed by 20mm."

This is the cheapest price I have found the Eibach Pro-kit for the Crossfire. I do not have an SRT. The part number you should be looking at for a standard Crossfire is 2552.140. I will be ordering soon. $253 shipped. Has anyone found this kit cheaper???

Yea that's the first link i posted, but didn't know if they are exactly the same. There is a $80 difference from XF to MB. The Crossfire one says "EIB-2864.140" and the Mercedes says "EIB-2552.140" anyone know the difference?

Other cheap ones i found:

$240 + $25 shipping:

$252 + $12 shipping:

Talk to member Andrew about it he's got the low down on the Eibach kits. I asked him about his not too long ago and he said he used the SLK kit. If you ask him he'll probably give out some more information about it.

actually, i bought mine on ebay and it stated that #2552.140 is for crossfire (roadster or coupe). i had the springs installed at a local performance shop wondering about the whole 20mm thing (i didn't hear a word about) - anyway, it came back looking pretty good. i chose the eibach because it seems like it has the least drop of the other springs (driving has to be at least somewhat practical - it is my daily driver, after all.) after the shop did the alignment, they told me that the rear needs camber bolts (which don't exist, apparently) - be prepared. chrysler only sells camber repair kits ($850). there have been some threads about the whole negative camber issue, but it doesn't seem to have really affected the tires wearing all that much. so, i'll live with it and flip the rear tires at the end of the year if it looks like it needs it. the drive is great and seems a lot stiffer.

If you do indeed want to change the camber, Renntech sells a kit for the Crossfire. at a better price too.

C 32 170 00 93 - part number

Rear adjustable camber and bushings

$495

if your gonna keep your car, (non lease) I would go with a coil over that is fully adjustable, no reason to waste money on a fixed spring set up. do it right the first time!

as much time as i spend on ebay, i embarrassed that i have never seen those. the performance shop i went to did say they could make some, but the alignment was not that far off anyway. i think they quoted $25/bolt.

I've just bought the Eibach Pro Kit from ajusa.com for $250 delivered, bought the KMAC rear camber kit from e-bay $244 delivered and ordered the front camber kit from Chrysler for $30. Still waiting on the front kit from Chrysler to come in to do the install.

I was just wondering, one of the other post by former NXMX5 said they didn't have one small enough, but ended up not needing it. I personally think it would be safer using one. I had to stop at the auto parts place yesterday to pick up a part for my daughter's car and I use to work with the boy's dad that works there. So I asked him if his dad had a spring compressor, (he works on a lot of cars) and he said no, but they have one at the store that his dad borrows and that if I wanted it I could borrow it too. I think I'll pick it up on the way home from work so I'll have it if needed. Installing the front & rear camber kits shouldn't be that big of a job I hope.
