Default 275/45ZR19 in the Rear?

Hello one and all...

Dealer slapped on a pair of Conti Extreme Contacts up front (as it failed inspection for low tread...covered under dealer's guarantee).

I love the tires but the only matching thing Conti offers in 19s are 275/45.

Would this fit back there? Or am I better off getting another pair of the Touring Contacts...etc...I'd like to keep all 4 tires matching in terms of performance and manufacturer...

Should mention I'm keeping my stock rims.

Thanks.

I have a set of 275/30's in the back, and they are fine, but 45 is a pretty tall profile, I would be for sure to measure the clearance levels and make certain they won't rub. Does a local tire shop have anything of that size you can mount and try fitment? That's what I did with one of my other cars, it was a bit of a pain but well worth it in my mind. Just want to make sure at full suspension compression that they dont hit the body. Don't know if this helps, just my quick 2C.

275/45 is something like 10% bigger than oem in circumference...that's going to have a big effect on gearing (it's going to slow you down). I would try to stick within a couple % of stock size.

Not sure where the speedo feed comes from (front or rear)...I assume front, but if it is rear, your speedo (and odo) would be way off too.

You will also have an issue with the rotational speed difference between the front and rear wheels. The computer will not like it.

In the rear, it's a 9" wide wheel, so you can get a pretty big tire on there. 295 for sure (I've seen a 295/30R19 Hoosier A6)...I suspect you could wedge something even a little bigger on there.

In the front, it's a 7.5" rim. I think 245 is pretty much the practical limit...I've had both Hoosier A6 and Kumho V710 245/35R18 on my car for autocross...you're going to have trouble mounting anything wider on the wheel, plus there's a ball joint stud that protrudes into the vicinity of the shoulder of the tire that you need to be careful of. I normally use a 5mm spacer with those wide fronts...wider track to combat the push and gives a touch more clearance at the inside shoulder.

Has anyone ran the 275/45s on the rear? I need rear tires and found a nice pair of this size for a decent price, but having abs or traction control issues with that size is a concern. I want to know if this size had caused any issues or will I be ok?

the stock height of the front tire is 25.1
the stock or the rear is 26.0
The tire size ( height ) up to 1 inch larger will work, clearance
the specs on the 275 45-19 is
height 28.7 rim to ground 4,9 width 10.8 this tire is over 2 and 1/2 inches taller than stock
