Default Wheel center cap removal

I almost feel like a moron for asking this, but do the wheel center caps just pry off - as in inserting a screw driver into the little slot and popping them off? I just don't want to break anything before trying this. I've just never owned a set of wheels with a little center cap like this...it's new to me.

Obviously I'd use something between the screw driver and wheel edge to protect the edge...at least I can figure that part out!!!

That's all it takes...some suggest using a credit card or something similar to pry them off.

I use a popsicle stick as not to scratch the wheel. Any metal object will scratch them very easy.

this was my recommendation ... this way you don't mar the rim or cap.

Thanks for the feedback...I figured that was the case but didn't want to just attack it and break something.

The best way is use small flat screw driver and use a small piece of tape to protect wheels.

Yeah, this isn't hard to do. But apparently, you don't need any smarts at all to change tires. I had 4 new tires fitting last week, and somehow, the ham fisted F*** TARD managed to bend/crack/dent ALL FOUR OF THEM!!! I RAGED on those guys, I should be getting my new ones in the mail this week.

Yeah, I'd rather feel a little dumb and ask first if my thoughts were correct rather than come on here and ask where to buy new ones because I did something really stupid.

But for someone to trash all four?!?!?! Gee, you'd think after realizing they handled the first one wrong they'd stop and think for a minute before tackling the other three. Of course, thinking requires an actual brain.
