Default My first winter driving my Crossfire

I have to say I'm very impressed on how well the Crossfire handles driving in the snow. I have the Contis all season tires and have had no issues. The stability control kicks in when needed. I've tested hard acceleration when there's no traffic to see how it drives, and I can tell you this car is much better than other any other car I've had, especially for being rear wheel drive. It straightens out real quick on turns.

Lets hope I'm not speaking out too soon.

it may accelerate great in snow...but braking in slush/icing is a trill ride.

I've been hiding out as I make my way around Dublin and Columbus for fear Andrew would see the state my car is in. The last week of snow and ice and salt and slush has reeked havoc on my baby. The fact I have no garage hasn't helped either. It's been pretty slipperly but no major problems yet. If I see Andrew I shall hold my head down in shame. Here's to everybody that has to drive in this crap.

Melinda, no need to be ashamed, or to hide from Andrew. He would probably just make you pull over and do impromptu "Detail" job for you.

I had to shovel 4 or 5 inches out of my driveway this morning.

I'm starting to hate winter more and more each year.

I tell you what... I am not happy with the Yokahama Advan S4's in snow. Barely a half inch of snow in my driveway and it took three passes to get up the hill... and it's not much of a hill. They are a huge disappointment!

I agreed last year but this year the snow is so slippery, its almost like greese. I don't understand. Thank goodness I was in the Grand Prix today with ultra snows. I would have been completely stuck in the Xfire. I saw a huge dump truck not able to get up a hill and it was blocking both lanes. I took a detor.

I think I've seen snow in some pictures somewhere. Isn't it associated with road salt and cold weather???

Sweet Home Alabama...

You must have some of that special global warming snow, the warmer it gets the slippery it is, I parked my Crossfire in october, and will not venture out till April. I am working nites in northern Alberta and we are getting down to -35c plus wind chill, thank God for global warming.

^^^ It was just slippery, never seen it like this. Even at stand still not moving on a slight grade my car was moving forward. I had to slam the thing in reverse to keep from going down the incline.
