Default Dum@$$ Service guy!

When I put my snow tires on I watched the yahoo that did the tire swap and he put the 245 tires on the front and the 240s in the back. I told him he did it wrong, so he switched them - or so I thought. Last night I realized he did one side right and the other side wrong - no wonder the traction control was kicking in when I stomped on it... Ijit!!!

What kind of snows? A lot of perfomance winter tires are directional tread pattern so make sure the dum*** has them going the right direction also.

Pirelli Sotozero 240s - TireRack already mounted and balanced them - all he had to do was install them properly. I watched him do the first side backwards and made hiim switch them - I assumed he would have figured out that the other side would be the same... The Owner said he'll switch them any time - no waiting, and I need an oil change anyways, but it just irritates me....

And now you're going to trust them with changing your oil?

Good point - maybe I should go back to my Chrysler dealer - oh yeah - can't do that - the IRS shut them down...

The owner is a good mechanic - I'll just insist that he do the work himself and it will be OK.

Sounds like time to buy a jack and stands as you will be changing them back to summer rubber in a couple of monthhs! Pick up a Topsider as well , changing oil is a joy on a Crossfire and you know its done correctly

I know a lot of you use a topsider, but I don't like the idea of sludge and metal chips piling up in the oil pan. I'd rather use the old gravity method and drain it naturally and hopefully keep most of that crud out... just my 2 cents...

Although I hope to never see metal chips or sludge....I do it the old way to and drain it out from below. Just my preference.
It is also a good chance to look around under the car for other issues that may be of concern.
