Default update on steering wheel shake

Okay, so I took my car to the tire store and had them check the balance etc. they took off every wheel and road tested them on their machine. Found everything to be in good working order except that the dealership had put a slightly bent rim on the front. Which, by the way has already happended once. Another story!
I have contacted the service manager where I bought the car, but he has not returned my call yet. Hoping to get this solved soon so I can really start enjoying this car.
Tire/wheel experts out there, would a slightly bent front rim cause a shake in the steering wheel at a certain speed???
Thanks again for all the great input

On my way down to the dragon run I hit a large pot hole in the highway and after that I was getting a slight vibration in my car around 80 MPH. When I got back from my trip I took it to Discount Tire to get the wheels balanced. They found that the two rims on the drivers side were bent on the inside, one about 1/4" and one a little more than that. It did not bend the lip but when the wheel was spinning you could see a flat area in the wheel. They said they may be able to adjust the balance to get rid of the vibration. After they rebalanced the tires I have no vibration and they told me the bend was very minor and would not effect the tire wear. The manager told me they see this often with aluminum wheels that are wide.

The tire store tried adjusting the balance on the bent rim but it did not cure the problem. I got a call from the service manager where I bought the car and they are ordering me a new rim..
Glad to hear they could take care of your wheels with balancing!!

Try driving without the center caps and see if the vibration is still there. When I had my original rims on I notied the center caps would shift and not sit flush with the alignment notch...pop them back in place and the vibration went away.
