Default Spike in tire prices

Well this certainly sucks. Wonder what it will mean when one of us has to put some new shoes on.

I priced some new Continentals for the Roadster yesterday, they couldn't get Sports contact 2, only 3, and the price I was quoted was for the rear AUD $748 each, and the front $528 each , with the Aussie dollar at US94 cents, and after comparing prices in the states, we are sure being ripped off over here, less competition I guess!!

I ended up getting the Kumhos for $380 each rear, and $275 each front, so at half the price of the Continentals, is a bargain, but I am not sure how good they are yet, as I have to run them in.
