I do; I get mine for FREE.....................but for those that have to pay I'd say Vato Zone or even Jegs if you want it delivered.

Brake fluid - Cheapest in U.S. that I could find seems to be ATE type 200 and/or Super Blue. The blue isn't DOT approved due to its color, plus the blue dye tends to discolor everything it touches, so it is sort of overkill for a shadetree mechanic like me. GermanAutoParts has a good price on the Type 200. The spec for clutch fluid is the same as the spec for the brake fluid, but as an SRT owner I don't need any clutch fluid.

From the SRT-6 Owner's Manual

Use brake fluid approved to MB 331.0, or a DOT 4 brake fluid with: minimum dry boiling point (ERBP) 500°F (260°C), minimum wet boiling point (WERBP) 356°F (180°C), maximum viscosity 1500 mm2/s, conforming to FMVSS 116 and ISO 4925.

There are better brake fluids out there, but Super Blue and Type 200 are the best deal for fluids that meet the factory spec.

HDDP turned me on to ATE Super Blue and it works good for road race use. It's a buck cheaper here http://store.cdoc.com/detail.asp?id=186&name= than GermanAutoParts.

what happens if you mix DOT4 with DOT3,

the reason I ask is my pressure bleader has some DOT3 fluid in the tank, and I;m scared to mix fresh DOT4 in there. I've heard the reports from the AUDI crowd several people smoked their ABS TC units because they used DOT3 and where too lazy to order DOT4

what kind of cleaner should I run through the bleeder before pumping into the master cylinder?

You can use a turkey baster and remove all the fluid from the master cylinder, then fill with new fluid and bleed untill you see the "Blue" fluid in your catch can. (at all four cylinders of course) - you can also run some new fluid thru your bleeder to purge out the old stuff.

I prefer to disconnect the brake lines at all four wheels and gravity drain all the fluid from the system. Once the brake lines were completly drained - my Crossfire took less then 1 Qt.

You can also get ATE Amber 200 for replacing the Super Blue brake fluid.

Check the specs for the ATE, a high wet and dry boiling point and long life. Only fluid better is Castrol Synthetic at $75 a liter.

here's a cheap bleeding kit that works well if you have a compressor.

Some auto part stores have a bleeder kit you can rent or borrow.
