I am planning on blacking out my stock rims, my grill, taillights, maybe side markers, and my badges.

Should look alright. I'm gonna powdercoat the rims and break out the spray paint for some others.

Is this a new record for the youngest xFire owner?

I think smokey847 is younger than me, and he has an SRT.

Maybe it's my age, but I just don't get the black painted wheel phenomena, to me it just looks like the worlds worst case of brake dust.
I know it's currently the "IN" thing though.
I saw David Beckham on TV driving his black Rolls Convert with his wheels blacked out and I thought to myself, at least it doesn't have big chrome "Dubs".

It's better to powder coat as oppose to painting. Powder coating is more durable and can be easily removed. Painting is painting and good luck changing the color.

@ fireamx: basically, its all just preference. But you're definitely right about the "dubs." I can't stand rims that big or shiny...

No I believe we have a 15 years old SRT owner

Now back to the topic, you don't need to look at pics, just let the brake pads do its thing
J/K here are some pics from one of the members on here. More pics in my gallery

Yeah, it's your age, mine too. It's kind of like black socks with shorts to me. http://images.google.com/imgres?imgu...%3Den%26sa%3DN

How much did it cost you to powder coat them?

Custom paint shops can do it.

I would reco you try to find a shop that has the ability to do a black chrome...I'm sure you'll pay a heap.
