Question: Conti's Sport Contact2 255/40 19
Question: Conti's Sport Contact2 255/40 19
Hey guys, I'm not an expert on this but I do know a more than the average person. I need to replace my rear tire but I cannot seem to find a conti OEM Sport contact2 for my rear; they actually discontinued that size. I called up a local tire shop and they have a used pair of Sport Contact2 255/40 19 with 8/32 tread. Will they fit on they Crossfire and if so, how will it affect the stability/ride. Your feedback is much appreciated, thanks.

Re: Question: Conti's Sport Contact2 255/40 19
As was stated, the OEM are Continental Contitouring Contact CW95 255/35/19s. I'm selling a pair of tires with almost new tread (9-10/32s). I'm located in lower DE but occasionally commute to NJ (near Philly) on weekends. As the thread says, make me an offer.

Re: Question: Conti's Sport Contact2 255/40 19
Thanks for the post guy...Deal of the century; I scored a pair of used contis 255/40/19 on Ebay from a Porsche Dealership in PA. Paid $56 for both, $40 shipping. They got 80% treads left on them. Arrived in 2 days.
Anyway, I'm very happy with my purchase. 40's gives the back tires a lil bit more side walls but still have that low profile look. Chrysler should have made them standard to begin with because the car rides and handles so much smoother. Living in NYC, that's a requisite since you can practically baths in potholes. And did I say, they look better with armorall

Wow... that is a great buy! Congratulations!!!
I assume you have tried or known of someone who has tried putting for 40's on the rear?
Or this is the trial? Please let me know if you come across any other issues, wheel well clearance etc.
I'm intersted in considering the 40's as well in the future.
Thanks.
