Default Tire/wheels wo/sensors?

Ok I just bought a set of wheels and tires off ebay. Wheels are decent condition but a little curb rash. I plan to repair them for a spare set or sell individual after I keep what I need. Tires are ok but mismatched brands.

I noticed that it looks like they don't have tire pressure sensors in them, but regular valve stems. If I use them in a pinch while I get new tires put on my rims, will the regular valve stems give me trouble with the dash light? Or will it not affect it?

I am not sure how the sytem works yet. Does the sensor transmit a 'low tire' signal or does it transmit a signal that says tires are within pressure range?

Thanks, James

If you are missing the sensors, you will get a tire light.
