How much should Eibach springs cost to install?
Re: How much should Eibach springs cost to install?
Ill ask my brother to look up the book time and i'll get back to you.
Just for a comparison it took me two hours start to finish with the right tools and taking my time.
I doubt you will find a name shop to do it for only two hours labor.
A mom and pop local shop that does imports may be better.

you can rent the mbz coil spring tool from these guys http://www.mercedesshop.com/shopforu...splay.php?f=93 but you need to be a member, or you can buy a knock off MBZ compressor tool for $175 it's better you do it yourself, that way you know the hack mechanics didn't damage your car.

Also, a spring compressor is not required if you use the method that BrianBrave used. I put the Eibachs in, took them back out, and put the stocks back in, all without a spring compressor.

~ the rear spring install is a joke imo ... very easy... the fronts are the time consumer... $250 tops for the install.
you need to speak with some m/b mechanics in the back of the shop ... many will provide services after hours for a fraction of the retail cost.
i paid $150 at my local benz dealer ... on their rack ... after hours.

FP,
Search BrianBraves thread Lowered my Ride for $24.95 . . . it convinced me to do it myself. All you need are jack stands, a floor jack, and the tools mentioned . . . no spring compressor needed. Take your time, and don't worry about man handling the front a little. The torx you may need is a 55 if I remember correctly. I also recommend a good size screw driver to use as a pry bar. Brian doesn't mention it, but I took out the front shock completely to give myself a little more wiggle room. Give yourself an afternoon start to finish . . . tops.

I live in atlanta and i'm in your same situation i'm getting ready to buy the springs and i'm getting a price range of $500-650 for the install seems way to high, going to call my local dealership and see what they say. They sometimes do aftermarket work for me, no questions ask with their normal, we didn't do it disclaimer

How far are you, or your guy from Toledo? I also wanna grab some of those emblems from you, so I could take a ride down, get springs installed, grab the emblems, then head back to michigan.
