Default H&R Spacers: Final Decision Before Buy

Hi everybody!
So, finally I have decided to buy and install spacers on my XF; I am going to get the H&R; so, if I get what they call in the item # 10XXXX it means that 10 mm will be the total of the spacers (5 mm on each wheel/side): is it correct? These are for the front wheels; for the rear wheels I want to get the H&R item # 20XXXX or 24XXXX and they should be 10mm or 12mm on each side: correct?
Thanks for helping me

I have the same spacers but believe that is each spacer width.

Yes, this is what I purchased for about $226.00 with shipping. The extended bolts are not cheap when you're buying 20 of them.

Here's the breakdown.

H&R PN 2055665 x 1 $77.00 each

H&R PN 2455665 x 1 $77.00 each

12x1.50 - 50mm long (mercedes ball) x 10 $2.95 each = $29.50

12x1.50 - 55mm long (mercedes ball) x 10 $2.75 each = $27.50

Thanks!

So I was thinking right; in the H&R item # the first two numbers are the total; so, if they write 20XXXXX it means 10 mm on each wheel/side
Thanks a lot guys
You are always amazing
One more thing: for the 5mm spacers do I need to change the bolts anyway?
Thanks again
Riccardo

Are we sure about these measurements?? I ordered these exact lug bolts to go with the recommended spacers (H&R, 10mm front, 12mm rear) and the 40mm new front lug bolts are the same length as stock (?)...

i measured the new bolts' shaft length (from the bottom of the ball seat):
fronts measure 40mm.
rears measure 50.8mm.

i ended up using the new "45mm" rear lug bolts on the front for now. and even theyre 2mm shorther than the stock lug bolt plus the 10mm spacer.

wtf?

i ordered through TC Kline (on andrew's recommendation), who specialize in BMW, so itd be tough to call them and ask them whats up. Im thinking of sending them my stock lug bolt and tell them i need 10mm longer and 12mm longer versions.

any other suggestions??

This is true. You should increase the length of the bolt by the increase of the spacers. I just corrected the post. You should go with 50 and 55mm. I made the same mistake as well, and had them replaced. They took them back and did not charge me extra other than the delta in price.

went on a fact finding mission. I called H&R:

we have 12x1.5 lug bolts, Mercedes ball-seat, 40mm stock length. For the spacers on our cars (10mm front and 12mm rear), H&R recommends a 50mm lug bolt length (shaft length), H&R part number 1255002, for the fronts and rears.

I ordered 1255002 (50mm length) and 1255502 (55mm length) for the rears, and will do some testing, because I have read on our forum about guys using too-long lug bolts in the rear and breaking the parking brake assembly.

Stay tuned...

one final update... got both 50mm and 55mm lug bolts for the rear wheel test. the 55mm lug bolts hit the parking brake assemblies, and when you spin the wheel by hand you can hear "click, click, click" as it turns. I used the 50mm bolts, but got about 1/2-turn to 1-turn less threads than stock on the rear wheels.

Im wondering if i can machine down the 55's... get them (a) longer than the 50's and (b) not interfere with the parking brake. I would need to take about 2-3mm off.

FP,

Why are you running spacers with stock wheels? Just curious. THnx
