Default New Wheels For SRT6

I have been on the fence about wheels for my Crossfire since I bought my first one in 2005. Over the years I have seen some nice looking wheels on this forum, but none quite to my liking. I am finally going to bite the bullet and buy a new set and have the wheel style picked out, but can not decide on the color option. Below on the SLK32 is the actual wheel style, below that on the BMW Z4’s are a couple more color options. Please give me your thoughts. My car is the Graphite Metallic and you can see pictures of mine in my gallery. The set will be custom made for my SRT6 in a 19x8 and 20x10 and I should have them in 4-6 weeks after I make up my mind. Don’t ask how much......YOu do not want to know! LOL

1. Brushed with Polished Lip

2. Matte Black with Polished Lip

3. Tactical Grey with Brushed Lip

So please give me your color choice of:

1. Brushed with Polished Lip
2. Matte Black with Poliished Lip
3. Tactical Grey with Brushed Lip

That is what I am leaning towards. The "Brushed" is safe, the Tactical is "Out there".

The math comes out to the same height as stock but less weight. Should actually help performance.

That would look awesome. I like the brushed and polished lip.

Well then your reducing the tire height.. that means a much harsher ride and less tire flex which works exactly opposite then a drag tire would. Chances are, yes if may corner slightly better but it will have less traction under hard acceleration and have a really rough ride... may even eventually bend those nice wheels because of the short rubber and less protection that affords.

Youre not making it easy:

My choice would be 1 all the way because it would look clean and would give some reference to her original look without being to drastic.

THe black I think would be a bit too strong. Not a fan of black wheels unless your doing a blacked out ride.

the third option is an alternative but that depends on whether you are looking to make your ride more of a head turner or a racer.

My thoughts...

Some of us prefer a nicer look over a slight decrease in performance. Wait, actually, those wheels are Brabus I believe and aren't that much heavier; perhaps, they are lighter. He'll get an increase in handling performance as I have with the lower profile tires. Mine handles better due to adjustable Koni shocks and Eibach springs too.

As to the original question: I think the grey would look perfect for your car!

Yes, you are reducing tire height. If he does this right, he'll get new springs and adjustable shocks. I don't think he said that he is a drag racer. If you aren't drag racing your point is moot.

Just sayin'

Thanks for the input guys...keep it coming. I am a drag racer, but I have an set of 17's with Drag Radials for the track! The wheels are DPE "Dynamic Performance Engineering" they are forged out of T6-6061 aircraft aluminum so weight is not an issue.

Everyone is making great points. The Brushed look is more Classy and the other two are more Aggressive. I am having the hardest time making up my mind. When you are spending this amount of $$$, you want it to look right!
