Re: Eibach Pro Kit Question
I would not recommend installing the springs yourself, unless you are experienced in suspension work and have spring compressors etc. There really isn't much to worry about except getting it done properly, by someone who has the experience an proper tools.
I would suggest you replace the shocks / dampers at the the same time, if you have the intention of doing it in the future... Might as well kill two birds with one stone...
Don't expect to see a drop in your car for a few days to a week, until the new springs settle-in...
The Eibach springs and Koni Sport damper combination really does make a huge difference in the handling of the car...
Also, after you do the suspension job, make sure you get a professional alignment and camber adjustment, as the modification will alter both...
You'll love the true sports car feel after the changes...

Re: Eibach Pro Kit Question
HDDP: I think the car handles superb as is, how would you rate the difference between the Koni's and Eibach's and stock? Also, I've read that the bump stops need to be shaved in order to run the springs, is this true? Or can the springs be installed without any modification?
For anyone thinking about changing the struts and springs, you might also want to consider the H&R Cup Kit.

Re: Eibach Pro Kit Question
Katie: Andrew is right, I first changed the springs only and noticed very little difference. A week later I installed the Koni's and noticed a much better feel in the car. The rebound, or float, of the OEM suspension was removed. Also, there is quite a bit less understeer and body roll than the OEM system.
It becomes really noticable on the track and now handles superbly. I have raced against some stock Crossfires on road tracks here in CA. and I can hold the turns much tighter with less body roll and drift, thus giving me a better line through the turn.
If you get a chance to test drive the SRT6 at your local dealer, the suspension will feel much like the Eibach / Koni combo, only a little bit softer.
As far as everyday driving, you probably don't need to spend the money unless you are a true sports car nut. Although IMO the car looks much better with the 1.5" drop.
I wouldn't shave the bump stops especially on the front as the drop will cause clearance issues with your front tires rubbing inside the wheel wells on hard braking turns. Especially if the driver is 200lbs.
Good Luck,

Re: Eibach Pro Kit Question
Nope, the SRT6 is still on order. No delivery date as of yet... Was ordered in July... Go figure !!! I'll be collecting Social Security at this rate...
Re: Eibach Pro Kit Question
What is the color of the eibach springs? Because I don't want the dealer to find out that I put aftermarket springs and void my warranty. Otherwise I will just paint them black!
black in color and powered coated. they look as stock.
