Default Bleeding brakes

I know this may be a simple process but I don't know if there are any particulars to our car. I have the mushy brake issue after a long winters nap and I understand bleeding the brakes is the first step to solve the problem, so how do I do it?

Are you sure they are mushy due to the winter hibernation?
