Default Adjustable Rear Camber Arms

Has anyone here used any of the following on their Crossfire?:

MB-Arts Adjustable Camber Arms, MB-170-ARCA

Top Speed Pro-1 Performance TRMBENZ-RTCA
(They list these as fitting numerous MB chassis in addition to the R170)

Megan Racing lists a part for the W203 and W208 ,MRS-MB-310, that can be had for under $200.00...
(Would be a good buy if I knew they would fit)

I am getting ready to do brakes, Tires are a few weeks old, would like to get the alignment issues taken care of while I have the wheels off, so any input is appreciated.

Thanks,

I will stick with the $70 ones I got from speedway motors... but those do look a lot better!

I asked about the same parts earlier. everyone keeps talking about the DIY kit on this forum. I'd rather have something megan made personally.

Yeah, I saw your post about the Megan's that what got me thinking and searching. I'm really not thrilled with the idea of making my own if something suitable is available reasonably priced. THe MB Arts are $310, and the Top Speeds about $240. I was just hoping that I wouldn't have to take a $200.00 chance on ordering up a pair...

Beaner - is there a part number for what you purchased from Speedway, or a DIY setup you put together?

Thornh: let me know, please the info you find out about the rear camber kits...I really need them... the larger/wider tires recently installed have effected a slight negative camber...Thanks Carl

Carl- I'll let you know what I end up doing with the rear camber. I really want to maximize my tire wear since I just put a new set on. I have the eccentric bolts for the front ready to install as needed to get the front in spec. Hopefully that will give me enough adjustment. I may just have to take a chance on the Megan Racing bars and see if they fit. So far Megan Racing hasn't responded to my email requesting additional info.

Got a part number on these? I may go the DIY route, though...exploring alternatives!

By any chance do you have the web address for MB-Arts and Top Speed Pro-1?
Thanks

Here's the ones Beaner was referring to... save yourself $200 as these work just as good if not better then the name brands!

Just installed a new set of tires last weekend. General G-Max to replace same setup that got me 42,000 miles on a car that averaged 18,000 - 20,000 miles the previous 3 sets. The DIY adjustable cambers made a world of difference and saved me a butt-load of cash. If fact the money saved pays for the install and the front alignment bolts.
Just gave both Crossies new 4-wheel Laser alignments and the Mechanic was thoroughly impressed with the setup.

A little more info I have gathered:
Mb-Arts - solid aluminum construction - $310.00 plus shipping.
TopSpeed Auto hollow steel construction (spoke with them today) $238.00 shipped on ebay
Megan Racing - No response from my email to them over a week ago, site lists as steel construction for C-class sedan 01-07.
(A little digging into the MB part number {210-350-34-06} reveals that this part fits almost all C-Class vehicles mid 80's to mis 2000's and some E and SL as well. Not sure if the are hollow or solid - I'm not keen on hollow for a load bearing application, but I may be willing try a set of the M-R bars for less than 200.00 as as opposed to DIY.

I'll keep this thread updated once I decide which way I go and get something installed.

Have you contacted latemodel21 to see if maybe he is interested in supplying some adjustable camber arms ?
I recall he did some really nice pulleys and belt wrap kit.

I was not aware that anyone was making camber arms since MikeR passed. I just ordered a set of the Megan Racing bars for 170.00 hopefully they will work OK. The price was right to protect my new tires.

Like I said, I don't know if he'd make any, I just know he does really nice work.

finally received the Megan Racing adjustable arms this week. went to install them this morning, and found out that I don't have the triple square 12 pt bit to remove the outer bolts... after searching could not find locally, now I'm waiting for the tool to arrive from amazon....

Wink Re: Adjustable Rear Camber Arms

Thornh , I'm thinking they should work just fine since the Crossfire (and SLK) platform used C class suspension components. And did you paint them black or leave them pink . . .

Sorry for the late followup, but I finally got the camber arms installed yesterday. Haven't had it aligned yet, but the install was very easy, they fit nicely. Will report back again once I have it aligned.

ZX2 Nick - I left them pink - cant really see them unless the wheel is off the car so the color doesn't bother me.
