Question Spring and shock fitment

I was looking to find out how much of the SLK320 R170 platform can be used for the Crossfire. I am wanting to upgrade rotors, control arms, springs, and shocks. We are highly limited as to what the internet and local shops know. Then for the SLK there are several brands and more choices in the aftermarket. Has anyone used the parts for the R170 and proven they all fit. What year would you use, 1998, '99, '00?

Default Re: Spring and shock fitment

It's all the same stuff under both of them, the Crossfire is an R170 under the sheetmetal. Think Camaro and Firebird. There are some spring, shock and bushing tuning differences (possibly) between the two though physically anything you can unbolt from one will fit on the other. One exception to this is the exhaust system which is different from the manifolds back.
