I'm sorry I can't help ya with your shifter, but if you try "Lifter 1" carpet and upholstery cleaner, you might be able to get the coffee stain out of your seat.
It removed a 25 year old grease stain from the carpet of my vintage car, and so far I haven't found anything it hasn't worked on.
