I think this would be an outstanding modification. Considering the cars don't have door window frames and the way the roof butts to the windshield, it would look amazing and natural. I'm sure the cost would be quite prohibitive though. I think a Targa style roof would be even better. Ditto to every word of that. I owned a T-Roof vehicle in the past, and it was a great experience. Of course, the center spine design just about demands a "t." If you ever do that mod, please post the pics!
