First of all the "BAS/ESP" light will always go on after battery disconnect.
To reset that light start the car and turn the steering wheel completely all the way to the right and then all the way back to the left and then back to center.
That light should go off. I have done it before and it has been mentioned in other threads here.
Now as for the brake light I am not sure.
When I replaced my brake pads with Rotex Gold pads the brake sensor wire wholes were not quite in the correct place and I did not reinstall the sensor wires at all. This did not cause a brake light to appear and has not for more than 10,000 miles now. My guess is a bleed may need to be done but I am only guessing.
