From what I've read, pure carnuba would be too "soft" and just wouldnt hold up. A clue to that I feel comes from experience of using several wax products over time. The synthetics give great lasting power, but not the great wet-look. Carnuba gives the shine, but fails to hold up over time like the synthetics.
