Cassidy, did you try to get a "Vehicle History Report" before you bought your car?
If the damage was severe enough to warrant an insurance pay out, there is an automatic "paper trail" on your car.
If the previous owner paid to get his car fixed "out of pocket", then the cars crash history may have slipped thru the cracks.
The dealer simply may not have known the car had previous body damage, and sometimes cars even come from the factory with damage that was repaired before the dealer took delivery.
Read your purchase contract front to back, and if it says "as is" anywhere, then you're probably out of luck when it comes to any recourse.
You can also go to your title bureau to find out the cars previous owners. Good Luck
