The Tire Pressure Sensors are mounted inside the rim, and tire valve caps have no affect on the TPS system. Here is a link to a picture of the sensor.

Yes, the dealer can calibrate the system, however, the valve cap is only a cap to keep dust, dirt, etc out of the end oof rhe valve stem.
