My dealer told me it will not work in Europe "it is a US thing" he says this because he asked the headquarter in my country and this was there answer... I did not think a frequency recorder (what the home-link universal transmitter/receiver is) is designed for US only but just to record and transmit again. Maybe I see this a bit in a simple way but as soon as my car was in the garage I tried it by the bookę, only with engine running and every thing works fine. My garage port has a single frequency code open and close are the same. My findings after 1 day is that the homelink device works better than the original remote controls that came with the garage port...
