Of the approx. 1,000,000 miles I've driven in my life....about 700,000 have been in manual transmission vehicles. Never once...ever...have I had to have any repair of any kind performed on any clutch or transmission part. The only automatic transmission car I ever called mine (vs wife's) was a 78 Vette. At the 1,000 mile point (1 month old).....it rolled over to the side of the road & I did not get it back from the dealership for 3-4 weeks???? In any case....the record suggests that the way I drive sticks does not lead to problems....



Next year will be our 40th wedding anniversary.....maybe I'll get her that Lotus she doesn't know she needs.....
