I called two insurance people I know personally, they both told me the same thing. Homeowners insurance will not cover anything that is titled. They are insured separately in Kansas. So I'm screwed there. On the bonus side, in Kansas my insurance pays me for the damage. Minus the deductible of course. If the culprit or culprits are found, the insurance company sues them. If successful, the insurance company will return my deductibles. Then I would have to sue them myself for the damage to the bike. So there is a tiny glimmer of hope. Possibly another glimmer is this. The night this happened my neighbors girlfriend had got off work at eleven or so. On the way to my neighbors house she had three boys on bicycles run out in front of her moving fast away from my area. She didn't think much about it till the next morning when she noticed his truck door open. They had went through his truck, then moved on to my garage apparently. Then she noticed the window knocked out, my garage entrance door left open, my Traildusters tailgate left open, and my air bubble thrown in a mud puddle. She called the police and told them about the incident, and the boys she saw the previous night. The officer said that this same group of boys were interviewed that night by another officer. So we have suspects. An officer I talked to today says they have several other suspects as well. It might be in my favor the these ijjits hit
27 houses that night!!!
As for parts, the car should be covered. As for the Harley, They destroyed my $425.00 Corbin solo seat was heavily slashed. But I might be able to recover it. Any help on someone that specializes in leather bike seats, that is talented, would help. The rest is just replacing the front tire and tube. I ordered them last night. The back tire was bald and I already had a new tire bought for it. Back to the seat. I have around 7 different seats. Three of those were solo seats. I had the other two solo's set on a bench in the garage. I thought they had managed to escape harm...Nope, one, my favorite, an alligator covered solo was slashed clear through the center. So I'm good on all fronts except repainting the rear fender and the tank. I may have to be content to ride it with it's new scars. I'll just tell all the girls I wrecked it running from the bank I robbed. Besides girls loves scars...don't they?
I really want to thank you for your offer. It means a lot to know there are people out there willing to help.
