Boy do I have a story for you guys. First of all I am a 23 year old male that came from a relatively poor family. I worked my butt off to get awesome grades my whole life and I graduated with a bachelor’s degree in MIS. I worked my whole life for this car and I love it. So, on to my terrible story…..



I was at Blockbuster on Saturday night trying to have a nice low key night. When I pulled into the parking lot (4 rows back so no one could ding my car) I noticed the vehicle of this girl that used to stalk me. She was so bad that I had to permanently kick her out of the community center I used to work at. I didn’t really worry about it though because that was over a year ago, so I proceeded into the store. But while looking for a dvd I got the bright idea to look out the window and check on my car. And guess what I saw, it was that little b!tch keying the back of my car. Rather then go outside and bash her head into the curb I decided to play it safe and get the year and make of her car and a description of her. She drove a 02-04 Cavalier that was burnt orange in color. I knew her name and where she lived from when I kicked her out of the community center. So after she peeled out of the parking lot, I called 911. I told them that I needed an officer to come to Blockbuster to write up a police report. The 911 dispatcher told me this wasn’t an emergency and I needed to find a cop. So I walked across the parking lot to No-Frills (a grocery store) and talked to the cop there. He asked me if I called 911 and I told him I did and they said to find a cop. He said he couldn’t help me because he was arresting a kid for shop lifting and I should call 911. So after getting the run around for 15 more minutes I finally got a voice recording to leave the crime and my name and number. Well finally on Monday, two days later without sleeping because I was so infuriated the police called me back. I had them fill out a police report over the phone because they still refused to send an officer to see me. After filling out the report I asked them what would happen and the officer said probably nothing since it is my word against hers. So, basically they are penalizing me for not bashing the girls head in and dragging her in Blockbuster and making the cops come because of the assault. I believe someone had a post about cops and how much the serve and protect not to long ago. To me this doesn’t sound like serving or protecting as much as it sounds like penalizing someone for doing the right thing. So I am hoping someone on this forum is a police officer or lawyer and they can give me some advise. I really don’t know what to do because I don’t want any of the costs to come out of my pocket (i.e. I don’t want to have my insurance go up after they fix the paint job or have it come out of my pocket to pay for the fix in the first place). My car is keyed extremely deep across the hood, to the driver’s front fender, across the door with a ‘M’ on the door, up the back fender and across the spoiler. Please help me out with some solid advise because I am going insane over how a stupid immature female can ruin my car and not be responsible.
