Right now I have a huge enclosure with my two 12's and although I can still fit a full cart of groceries in the car (front seat included...)I would like room to put a suitcase or two again, all without taking away from the overall sound and hurting the subs.
So thank you!
Any other ideas guys?
Unforunately, unless you you know someone that will fab a custom enclosure for you at a crazy cheap price, you're going to have to compromise somewhere.
If you want more room, your best bet would be changing over to the 10's so you can have a smaller enclosure, but you're going to have a significant reduction in output.
If you want to keep the same level of sound and stay with the 12's, you'll have to pony up the dough and have a high quality custom enclosure build that can maximize the available space within the rear hatch.
It all comes down to what is more important to you, low cost, loud sound or minimal space used. You can have 2 of the 3, but you're not going to be able to have all 3 most likely.
