A plug kit in the trunk is a better idea and then have the tire repaired from the inside with a proper plug at a dealer if the tire is salvageable.
I agree with 180 .... chuck the sealant ..... plug the tire and use the Crossfire pump to add air. Some people have said that the sealants can screw-up the TPMs in the tire. Hope your tire is repairable. Then get an AAA policy.
