After loosening the 10MM bolts on the latch I was able to open the hood and jump the car but unfortunately the latch was still attached to the hood and the release cable and I guess a sensor cable became detached.

Before I take it to a shop I wanted to see if I could fix it but I'm not sure what the latch assembly looked like or how it goes back together. Attached are some pictures of what it looks like. If anyone has any closeup pictures pf the assembly or knows how to get this back together it would be greatly appreciated.
What was wrong with using the key to open the door, or am I missing something?

The key works the old fashioned way, stick it in and turn it.

The key overides the locking system, these cars were designed by Germans not imbeciles.
