I've used a pair of vacuum cups now and again for 25 yrs. or so for carrying large sheets of plate glass or windows, and never had one let go. But of course we weren't driving down the freeway being subjected to the additional forces. It is neat to see them being used for this new purpose. Those are well thought out and quite nice, but I'd keep the driving on the conservative side myself.
