You had the car in limp mode, which is an indication of a transmission fault, you read the codes and it says transmission speed sensor fault and the garage says it has to do with the ABS brake system. Hmm!
I'd say you had better be careful with what is done here or they might take you for an expensive ride before your car is on the road again.

I have had this on a Chrysler 300 which has a very similar transmission and it was a faulty solenoid in the tranny. The car would work fine when it was restarted every time for a few days then the limp mode became permanent.

My money is on the speed sensor which is on the hydraulic/electrical plate assembly.
